Hello, it's me, Im back again already. First, I thought I'd show you this lovely little caff in Mikulov, which is one of my new favourite places. I like to show you the places I visit. It is my way of letting my little pals in Blighty visit these places with me too and my blog pals too, of course.
I like this corner with the old sewing machine. Lots of the tables in the place are actually old sewing machine tables too. I like the little touches, like the lovely cushion on the chair.
I think the seat below is sweet. It is quite 'Nan style', but I love it.
There is lots of lovely old furniture and a charming sloping roof. Roman's friend says it is 'English style', but I think it is just not typically Czech and very sweet and comfy.
This old record player is cute.
I thought I'd share some of my favourites things too. I have had the dress below for a few years. It is from ASOS and I think it is my favourite summer frock.
'Pottering' has to be one of my favourite pasttimes. I have been rearranging my favourite things and love my teapot and fairy in a cup!
Meandering and wandering are also some of my favourite things to do.
I like to find funny things like this horse fountain that looks like it is smiling.
I have gone a bit 'The Good Life' since moving here and another favourite pasttime is scoffing the garden produce. The cherries have turned this beautiful shade of deep red and are now delicious. I have eaten bowls of them and am so happy as I adore cherries and they are quite expensive to buy in the UK.
When I first visited the region of Moravia, in the Czech Republic, where I now live, I had no idea what to expect. I think people often associate ex Communist countries like this one with tower blocks and gritty urban landscapes. However, Moravia is actually really pretty and is famed as a wine region. There are lots of vineyards around the local area and little wine cellars, like this one. I think they look like little hobbit houses.
I went to a party at a wine cellar on Friday and the people that have the cellar next door were having a wedding the next day and gave us some littůe biscuits they had prepared for the event. They looked too pretty to eat!
Simple things are often favourite things. This little notebook remnds me of the beauty and magic of this country.
My little girl is just smashing and my most cherished treasure of all. She likes to go to sleep, surrounded by her favourite cushion and toys. Paddington is currently in favour. When she has gone to sleep, I remove the toys and cushions so she has room to kick her little legs around. Doesn't she look a treat here? I treasure her so much. I was always terrified beyond belief of childbirth and never thought I would have children, so am more than delighted to have her.
I think we are all at least a little afraid of the unexpectedness of life, but we also know that is what makes it exciting. It's just before the start of a new week and time to remember that bad times pass and that great things can happen. You can have the new beginning you deserve each week that brings new possibilities. Don't fear the worst, just expect the very best. Who knows what may happen and what you may achieve?
